Field Barn Park is an adults-only site in the heart of the north Cotswolds, with Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold both close by. It takes guests aged over 30 only, which sets the tone: this is a calm, well-kept touring park rather than anywhere with entertainment or activities, and it attracts a lot of repeat visitors for exactly that reason.

There are 53 all-weather grass pitches, each with access to mains water and an electric hook-up, laid out with generous spacing. The facilities block is the site's strong point, with underfloor heating throughout, provision for disabled guests, chemical disposal and a wash point. A utility room holds laundry facilities, sinks, a fridge, a freezer and a microwave. Free wifi covers the site. Dogs are welcome at a small daily charge and there are two dedicated areas for walking and exercising them.

The park suits tourers, motorhomes and tents equally, and its position makes it a practical base for exploring on foot as well as by car. Field paths lead towards the Slaughters and the Windrush valley, and the Cotswold Farm Park and Northleach are both a short drive. There is no shop or playground on site, so stock up in Bourton or Stow before you arrive. Prices start around the low twenties per night for a pitch without electric, with hook-up pitches a little more, and the site operates seasonally rather than year round. Because it is small, well regarded and takes no children, summer weekends fill early and booking well in advance is sensible.
